Six dates to put in the diary — all open to anyone in the parish.
The trust runs a handful of public dates each year, plus the quarterly trustees' meetings (open to attend but not to vote). All times are local, in 24-hour clock.
Winter Hedge-Laying Day
Carr Bank Western Boundary · 09.30–15.00
Bring waterproofs and stout boots. Tea and bacon rolls at 11.00. Mallets and stakes provided.
Second Hedge-Laying Day

A repeat of the January day for those who missed it. Often a kinder weather than January, in our experience.
Annual General Meeting
Westgate Parish Hall · 19.00–21.00
Open to any resident of the parish. Tea and biscuits afterwards. Notice of the agenda goes up four weeks beforehand.
Open Afternoon at Carr Bank
Carr Bank Site · 14.00–16.30
Tea, cake and a slow walk around the plots. New tenants meet existing ones; trustees take questions on the path.
Autumn Show 2026
Westgate Parish Hall · 13.00–17.00
Largest marrow, longest runner bean, six uniform tomatoes, and a small brass band. Entries from the parish only.
End-of-Season Gathering
Carr Bank Fire-Bowl · 17.30–20.00
Hot soup, a bench around the fire-bowl, and a quiet thank-you to everyone who has helped this year.
